Facilitate Intrigue With Wedding Disclosure


This wedding came into being at the Rimrock College dorm in Banff. (On an annual side note, the extra, food and hotel staff were AMAZING. I can't say enough great things about them. ) When we sat as per design this wedding Need be to keep the guests guessing these surprises coming all nightime. So we took each and every element, the ceremony, from the cocktail hour, the dinner as well as party and treated it as its own event, and each event was revealed to the guests as the night progressed. This kept an element of surprise to a maximum and it kept them guessing what can happen next.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was held in one of the longest rooms I ever sold stood in. I mean it was a good 65 feet and up. It was funny taking advantage of the bridesmaids comment on how long their aisle own was. The room had full windows behind the with a full seem at the mountains. I had the hotel remove the curtains and sheers so the view was totally remove. We also didn't use as much dé cor in this room because with views like that, you really do not need to. We did add some candles and blooms to the aisle. We brought in a faux fireplace, that we filled with candles (battery operated) we also placed close to 200 additional candles along the fireplace, the window sills and a few on the frames. These were all real and gave areas a fantastic glow. It has become simple, romantic and simply elegant.

The Cocktail Hour

The wine hour was held in the room between the ceremony along with the dinner area. We had to transport the chairs pores and skin ceremony to the dinner and I could hardly interrupt the cocktail hour in addition, we also had brought in winter trees that had glass ornaments when you hit it that were the to hold cards but we haven't much want those unveiled unless of course later. We set up bottle and drape curtains therefore fake wall to insure the chair movement and we placed the trees behind the drape meanwhile.

Half an hour ahead of the dinner, we took through the draping, revealed the trees and asked everyone to acquire their place cards and simply have their seats for taking in. The place cards were attached to the glass ornaments and put alphabetically.

We also rented a classic photo booth to place a spin on the invitees book tradition. Guests popped for that booth, took the check out pictures, then they could drop them off your vase for the couple or store them, it didn't matter, they were free so you could take as many as you desired. It was the highlight from the cocktail hour and also the beautiful ice martini luge that had snowflakes etched into the machine.

The Dinner

We took the dinner space and hectic the dividing walls out of your ballroom. In short, we kept one area closed. The guests appeared to be seated and dinner and / or speeches ensued. There was a great window view as the mountains, and the hotel discussed lit the trees outside other than you. So we brought in today's own trees (which I built onsite) to bring the outside in.

We also changed the head table a little because the device was easy for your wedding day and the guests to communicate. I am so bored with the long head game... another tradition I feel needs to depart, so we made it a rectangle.

For the lighting i used a purple gel to go with the wedding color and make a wonderfully romantic atmosphere. The centerpieces also used branches to continue the outside theme therefore lit them with miniature LED lights on the inside your wonderful glow at for every table.

It's Party Time

When the speeches were completed and dessert have already been served, we had the MC announce that Bride & Groom would now be leaving. With no explanation for all crowd, the Bride & Groom got up and left the rooms. This really got areas buzzing. There was no DJ or band installed in the dining area, there wasn't even a dance floor.

So what do you do?

Well, as the wall divider was pulled back, the 13 piece band switched on and the couple was already out on the oasis. Everyone turned to see the ultra lounge we undergone created and kept hidden prior. It was party as well as this was the spot for their party. The band was installed in the stage, there was and a second bar with tall drink tables, a huge dance floor, and across the dance floor was my lounge. We brought in modern, white leather furniture and made a lounge area to relax and chat where guests weren't dancing. We also had glass top tables and white leather benches to increase the conversation area. This was also lit a minimum of purple hue so it remained according to the color theme our wedding.

Simon's Wedding Design Advice

Take in the and break it directly mini events. You want your guests as being talking about your wedding for years to come and to compare properly wedding they go in addition to, to yours.
